The Weber River between Henefer and Taggart Falls is the heart of Utah Outdoor Adventures’ summer operation. The 9.5-mile run drops through three distinct landscapes - vast farmland, the high-desert mountains around Devil’s Slide, and the narrow technical “Rock Garden” before the Class II-III rapid known as Taggart Falls.

Where it runs

The launch is at our exclusive private boat ramp in Henefer, Utah - about 45 minutes from Park City and an hour from downtown Salt Lake City. From the put-in, the river meanders through dodge-the-rocks technical sections before opening up into wide flatwater and dropping through the Rock Garden into Taggart Falls.

Wildlife

The Weber Canyon corridor is rich habitat. Anglers know the river for Brown Trout. Above the water, watch for golden eagles, ospreys, and red-tailed hawks nesting in the riverside cottonwoods. On the banks: yellow-bellied marmot, badger, mule deer, and elk - the latter wintering in the area in large herds.
